Today I wanted to share some of my favourite yummy smoothie recipes. Unfortunately smoothies are not Slimming World friendly but great for those who just want a nice healthy start to their day, like my friend Laura.
Laura recently bought a smoothie maker and has been asking me for some recipes as she doesn't eat a lot of fruit and veg (Oh yeah, she's a fussy one) and thought this would be a good way to get those minerals and vitamins she could be missing out on. I also make smoothies for my 4 year old son, he's definitely not a fussy eater, but I can easily hide the fruit and veg he says he doesn't like in
them.
Smoothies also have a lot of health benefits to them, it's a great way to make sure you get your 5 a day, they can help boost your immune system, help with digestion and of course giving your body much needed vitamins and minerals.
Quick Tips:
Always add the liquid in first before your fruit and veg. Prep your fruit in freezer bags in portions keep them in the freezer and you're always ready to go in the mornings.

Yellow Smoothie
Pineapple Juice
Greek yoghurt,
Frozen Mango
Banana
Pineapple
Ginger.
Orange Smoothie
Orange Juice
Greek Yoghurt
Half Frozen Peach
1 Orange
1 shredded Carrot.
Red Smoothie
Almond Milk
Vanilla Flavoured Greek Yoghurt
Strawberries
Raspberries
Watermelon.
Purple Smoothie
Pomegranate, Cranberry or Beetroot Juice
Vanilla Greek Yoghurt
Forest Fruit Mix (Cherries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries)
Spinach.
Green Smoothie
Orange Juice
Vanilla Greek Yoghurt
Avocado
2 Kiwi Fruit
Spinach.
Sorry I don't include any measurements for these but I usually just eyeball my smoothies so don't write anything down. If there's things you don't like swap them with something else.
I really hope you enjoy trying out a couple of these recipes and of course make them your own try different fruit and veg and of course try adding different juice.
