Bumpdate | 18-20 Weeks & Gender Reveal

I can't believe we're almost halfway through this pregnancy!! The second trimester is going a bit better so far and we get to find out if we're having a boy or a girl soon!! I'm so excited!

WEEK 18:
Wow, I feel really heavy this week!! Baby, is sitting so low and it's slightly uncomfortable, especially when I sit down. I have a definite bump now and have people commenting on how big I am, I do feel HUGE and really uncomfortable at night. I'm having difficulty sleeping so I think I may need to get myself a pregnancy pillow to see if it helps. I go for my scan the day after my birthday so only a couple more weeks to wait!!

WEEK 19:
I'm still feeling really heavy and carrying really low, I'm not feeling as tired so hoping that i start getting a lot of my energy back soon over the next few weeks. I've been blitzing a room at a time in the house and going through this nesting phase and now want to be rid of just about EVERYTHING!!! I've started to get the dreaded heartburn in bouts and I suffered really badly with Mason from this so I'm no longer thinking you could be a girl and have a feeling that I'll be having another boy. I just want to find out so I can start buying. And the back ache, my god it's so uncomfortable. I have to keep myself active to ease it off.

WEEK 20:
ITS A BOY!!!!!
We had our scan yesterday and it's been quite an emotional week for me so far. I was in the scan room for an hour because he just wouldn't play ball and was being awkward and just putting himself in the most awkward of positions but we got through it and all is well, he's healthy and growing nicely, nice strong heartbeat and no abnormalities.

I can't believe I'm having another son. I cried a little when the lovely sonographer told me. It was mixed emotions, happy that he was healthy, happy he was a boy, relief that we don't have to panic about fitting all the kids into our 3 bedroom house and of course I was upset that the OH didn't get the girl he desperately wanted. But we're all happy and Mason & Jake are over the moon. We also found out that I have an anterior placenta which means it's at the front so feeling movements have been restricted but from weeks 26-28 I should start feeling them more prominently. So this was a massive weight off too.

Now to do some shopping and start getting myself organised and get what I'll need for the baby.

Lots of Love
