Rachel's Diaries: Review | Beauty Brews Hygge Tea

I've got a review for you today and it's one I've been really looking forward to sharing with you. I received this lovely and very intriguing product in my August LoveLula beauty box, if you missed out on that post you can see it here.

As some of you may know I'm a massive tea lover and I enjoy my herbal teas, so I was super excited when I saw this Beauty Brews organic tea in the August Love Lula box. I'd never heard of the brand and I've never tried loose tea before. So, I had to go on a hunt and buy myself some sort of loose tea infuser so off I trotted to Amazon and found these really cute Mr and Mrs ManaTea infusers. I will do a separate review for these little cuties in the coming weeks on the blog.

Hygge (pronounced Hooga) is the Danish word for cosiness, and this tea is exactly that. Cosiness in a cup, the flavour is orange and cinnamon which is most definitely the kind of tea I'd go for especially as the Autumn is setting in! Nothing makes you feel more cosy and warm than that lush cinnamon scent.

I wasn't sure how the tea would taste, I thought this one could be slightly bitter with the orange but I was surprised at how well the two flavours compliment each other and they really do go hand in hand.

I found this was quite sweet so for me it was really tasty. It's one of those flavours that takes you to Christmas time in the winter walking around the street markets, enjoying the atmosphere whilst sipping on your tea and you get that really nice Hygge feeling!

I'd love to give them all a try, there's so many flavours to choose from.

To make the perfect cup of Beauty Brews Organic Tea simply add 1 teaspoon (per cup) of the loose tea into your chosen tea infuser, add some hot water and let it steep for 5 minutes. You can leave it for longer or less depending on your taste.

Hygge contains Rooibos tea which is caffeine free, low in tannins and has a high mineral content. The orange peels are rich in flavonoids and together with the cinnamon and apple add that lush seasonal spice in the mix.

How cute are the tins?? These would make a fab little gift for a tea lover, you get a 50ml size bag of the loose tea inside the tin. These look so cute in the cupboard and is such a great way to store your tea.
